These little electric cars allow you to cruise around town with harming the environment. These rentals are currently available here in Santa Fe and will hopefully expand to other New Mexico cities.

Soup Ingredients

While shooting this the first thing I thought of was Pumpkin soup. The only thing I would add would be some baked pumpkin seeds with red chili sprinkled on them. What would you add?

Girl Talk and Coffee.

While breaking away from the Farmers Market crowd over the weekend I stumbled upon these two. Just sharing coffee and a chat.

Fall Harvest.

Squash has made an appearance at the Farmers Market this weekend. One farmer brought a trailer full and the variety made for a nice photo. Does anyone know what the large pale green one is?

Love For Sale.

While walking into town I passed this store and my heart stopped, ha ha. Cupcake is a woman's apparel store here in Santa Fe. I thought of the Cole Porter song "Love for Sale" when I saw the heart and the sale sign.

Saturday Market.

After buying our weekly supply of veggies we wonder over to the Santa Fe Artist Market that happens every Saturday. There you will find paintings, ceramics, jewelry and a variety of other mediums. I enjoy talking to the artist. They are always so nice and friendly, they make Saturday morning so enjoyable.

Fly Away Friday.

Now this is one Peace flag that I would have bought this one and proudly hang outside of my home. The dove just looks so happy. I know I am thrilled that it's Friday. Hope yours is a happy one!

Peaceful Colors

Near the few booths at the Roots and Shoots conference there were Peace flags that were made by kids. Here are a few of my favorites.

Every Car Should Have One.

Here are just a few of the bumper stickers that could be purchased at the Roots and Shoots Peace Gathering. I couldn't leave without one. What are some of your favorites?

Peace Doves

It's International Peace Day! This weekend Roots and Shoots a youth program by the Jane Goodall Institute put on a celebration in the Railyard park. There was music, dance and a parade of giant peace doves. This was just before they took flight.
Wishing you all Peace! And remember if someone makes you mad today don't give them the finger, give them two by way of a peace sign.

Pet Parade: I Want To Be A Cowboy

And for the finale I saved this cute little guy for the end. He had such a noble look about him as he walked by in his cowboy hat. Good week everyone, lets hope it's a fast one.

Tomorrow is the International Day of Peace did your city plan anything this weekend or for tomorrow?

Pet Parade: Best Friends.

Best Friends love so many things, the time they spend together, and the things they love to do together. Some like these two even love dressing in the same colors. When I saw these two you could almost feel it, the love they had for one another. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Pet Parade: Hey I'm The Pretty One!

I don't think this cute little ballerina wanted to be out done by her owners and their polka dot skirts. The skirts might be bright and shiny but I liked her little tutu best.

Pet Parade: Rough Week.

It's been a tough week, so happy it is half over. If it continues I'm going to look like this little guy just not so cute. He has that look on his face, almost like "When will this be over."

Pet Parade: Hot Dog On The Go.

This little guy knew he looked good in his Hot Dog attire. He had a little strut that could not be matched.

Santa Fe Childrens Pet Parade

On of the parades on Fiesta weekend here in Santa Fe is the Desfiles De Los Ninos or Children's Pet Parade. This parade has been a tradition for at least 87 years and it draws a pretty good crowd. Most of the picture I took were of the pets because their the were dressed so cute. We'll start here at the beginning of the parade. Come back to see some cuties through out the week.

Time To Head Downtown.

It's Fiesta weekend in Santa Fe so I will be heading downtown to see the pet parade and take in some of the mariachi music. Hopefully the sky is as nice as it was last weekend when I took this photo.

Some Like It Hot!

Most of us who live here know the state question; "Red or Green?" Green chili is in season here but for those who prefer Red you can get that too. Here you have Medium, Hot or Super Hot. What's your preference when it comes to spicy? I'm a medium kind of guy myself.

It's Your Choice!

While walking past Ortega's on the Plaza this jewelry display caught my attention. Arizona is currently the most important producer of turquoise by value, but New Mexico is thought to be the oldest of the mines in the U.S. Prior to the 1920's New Mexico was the largest producer. Of all the mines my favorite comes from the Sleeping Beauty mine in Globe Arizona.

Sporting Stripes!

I am starting to think I have a knack for finding unusual pants. While at the Farmers Market over the weekend I was looking down at some veggies and spotted these blue socks. Then I looked up and click went me camera.

On The Corner.

On the corner of Galisteo and Alameda is Louis's Corner. I've posted it before in the past but during the summer months they had these colorful umbrellas out so that people can sit outdoors. They have a great chicken sandwich there, one of my favorites actually.

Indian Market VIII: Lunch?

While shopping at Indian Market there were different foods and restaurants to choose from for a meal. This young woman from Backstreet Pizza was out trying to entice the crowd into choosing their pizza. She put on quite the show and check out those shoes!

Indian Market VII: Got My Boots On.

Cowboy boots are the thing to wear in the Southwest and there was a wide variety to see at Indian Market but none as interesting as these. I had to post this shot after seeing Kate's post from yesterdays photo. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Indian Market XI: Check Me Out

While at the Indian Market you expect to find people wearing their best Southwestern wear. Maybe a Cowboy hat, jewelry or maybe a velvet skirt but hey...
Would you be brave enough?
