Retired

Just a little further up the path from yesterdays photo was this old tractor shed with a retired tractor in it. Unfortunately another Monday has come and it's time for work. It will be awhile before I am like that tractor. Have a good start to your week everyone!

  8. I AM the tractor and, let me tell you, it's a good life. We DO get out of the shed pretty often, though. Happy Monday, worker bees!

  14. Thankfully Monday is now almost over. It was a bad one. I feel like I'm 90 tonight and KNOW I'll feel like 100 tomorrow. So maybe I am an old tractor! Hope your Monday is going better than mine went.

  15. Haha, Randy! Yes it'll be awhile before I am like that tractor, too. I do have som time off, but much of it is being used "catching up" with dentist appts, car services, driving & packing, LOL! Hope your week goes well!

  20. It seems the closer I get to retirement [age] the farther away it seems to get.

I certainly feel like that old tractor some days...all rusty with no get up and go, but the tanks full of gas : )

  21. I feel a certain nostalgia when it comes to old farm machinery. It seems to represent a bygone era (although I'm sure working farmers think otherwise!)

  22. Randy, I retired this summer and, trust me, you don't have to be rusty and broken down unless you let it happen to you.
